Help on gaining mass for building muscle?

I am 135 pounds. I need real advice on how I can gain serious muscle mass. I have a high metabolism by nature. I never have a big appetite. I know I need to eat way more, but I want to know what exact I need to be eating to get results, and how oftern I should be eating? Are supplements a waste of time at this point? I have tried whey drinks, protein drinks and nothing works. Basically I am just looking for a all around great diet for me personally so I can pack on muscle I've already made the trip to GNC more than once but I think I've been getting the wrong advice and not getting getting anywhere.
